Current Committees:
Avalon House
Avalon House works to end homelessness by developing affordable housing centered on community, care, and support. In order to help aid their efforts, End The Cycle members have the opportunity to work hands-on with their community, providing essential tutoring services and helping to update their in-house curriculum for the needs of students. This is a great way to gain real volunteer experience, build lasting connections, and change someone’s life!
Food Insecurity
The Food Insecurity Committee takes on various projects related to food access in the Washtenaw County area. In the past, we have partnered with Ann Arbor public schools to eliminate student lunch debt and establish sustainable food pantries. Last year, we collaborated with Maize and Blue Cupboard to improve food access on campus. We are currently conducting a needs assessment for this year’s project!
